Empower Simcoe is excited to announce a novel addition to its roster of community-driven services aimed at fostering social connections, skill development, and the creation of meaningful relationships within the Orillia community. Our latest offering, the “Social Skills & Connections Series,” is designed to bring people together in a relaxed, fun, and interactive environment.

What’s on Offer?

Participants will have the chance to engage in a variety of activities designed to foster new friendships, share ideas, and learn new skills in a supportive and inclusive setting. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

• Engaging Activities: Enjoy a game of pool, darts, or various card and board games. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the games, there’s fun to be had and skills to be learned.
• Sports Enthusiasts’ Corner: Watch the game on the big screen or catch the highlights of your favorite team. A perfect opportunity for sports fans to bond over shared passions.
• Talk of the Town Conversations: Engage in lively discussions and share your thoughts on various topics in a friendly and welcoming environment.
• Group-Planned Exploration: Participants will have a say in the activities planned, ensuring everyone’s interests are catered to. It’s your choice!

This 6-week social extravaganza is not just about having fun—it’s about creating opportunities for participants to develop skills that enhance abilities, promote positive social development, and connect socially while developing supportive relationships.

Event Details:

• When: Every Thursday from March 21, 2024, to April 25, 2024, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Where: The Moose Lodge, 6 Kitchener Street, Orillia
• Cost: $165.00 – Price includes an afternoon of fun, pool/darts, pop, and chips.
• Spaces Available: Limited to 10 participants to ensure a quality experience for all.
